We now offer Haidong Gumdo, a traditional sword art originated from Ancient Korea. It is styled on battlefield scenarios, one against many using a curved sword.
The basic techniques of Haidong Gumdo include cutting, thrusting, stances, movement, meditation and breathing exercises. There is a defined curriculum where students progressively learn new techniques as they advance. It takes pride as a most realistic sword art and student progress from wood practice swords (Mokgums) to sharp steel swords (Jingums) capable of cutting through two inch bamboo poles.
Saturday's at 9 am and Thursdays at 6PM.
Haidong Gumdo students are not required to also be enrolled in Tang Soo Do to join.
